More Information
TRUE LEGENDS. Icons of the alternative ska/punk/funk scene since the early 80's, FISHBONE continue to be at the forefront in the music world by their relentless touring for over 30 years. Singer/ sax player Angelo Moore and bassist Norwood Fisher have carried the torch through all the fads and trends in the music industry and have never sold out their integrity. Fishbone has influenced so many bands through the years such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bad Brains, Primus, Sublime, No Doubt, Gogol Bordello, the punk scene of the 80's, the alternative scene of the late 80's/ early 90's and 3rd wave ska scene of the late 90's; each and every musician will admittedly pay homage to a band that broke down the barriers between rock, punk, funk, ska and reggae. They created music that branched out into a plethora of genres of music. Their music has been controversial and inspiring covering important topics such as poverty, racism, fascism, nuclear war, and oppression. Albums like "Truth and Soul", "The Reality of My Surroundings" and "Give a Monkey a Brain and He'll Swear He's the Center of the Universe", is timeless and groundbreaking and continues to influence a new generation, no matter what is happening in the music world.

And for one night only, FISHBONE will make their presence known in the small college town of Chico, CA. After Chico, they are playing the Coachella Music Festival both weekends. This might be your only chance to catch Fishbone in Northern California! If you have never seen them before or even heard a CD of theirs, if you love music, you must go and check it out. Blazing horns, ripping guitars, badass funky bass and an energy that can't be duplicated. These are the originators, the godfathers of punk and soul. Do yourself a favor and buy a ticket. For a mere $15, you will get to experience music history in the making.
